Don’t be put off by the name – the Kasteelhof T’Hooghe is a stunningly beautiful hotel set in the countryside that surrounds Ypres and built in the style of an Elizabethan cottage. Situated 3 kilometres from the city of Ypres and set in its own parklands it has an original World War I trench in the grounds along with a lily pond transformed from an old bomb crater. This large but atmospheric and cosy hotel is tranquil and full of character - it has comfortable, welcoming and well-equipped rooms that all have a view of the garden. This romantic and charming hotel is a superb location from which to enjoy the historical and beautiful area of Flanders.
